Seattle-area salaries 12th-highest in U.S. – Puget Sound Business Journal

Yearly salaries in the Seattle-Bellevue area average $56,290 a year, which is the 12th-highest in the country.

The San Jose metropolitan area has the highest average annual salaries at $69,880 last year. Next highest was the San Francisco market at $64,820.

Those were the highest pay levels in any metro area across the nation, according to an On Numbers analysis of new data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). On Numbers is the research division of American City Business Journals.

Rounding out the top five were Washington ($63,720), Boston ($60,390) and Connecticut’s Bridgeport-Stamford area ($59,820).
