King County housing prices sag in December – Puget Sound Business Journal

Housing prices in King County in December were down sharply, with the median sale price down 15 percent compared to December 2010.

The median price for single family homes and condominiums in King County last month was $291,000, according to a new report by the Northwest Multiple Listing service. That compares to a median price of $342,400 in December 2010.

The number of single family homes and condominiums listed for sale was down more than 25 percent for the month, compared to the period a year ago. Meanwhile, the number of pending and closed sales was up for the period by 19.8 percent for pending sales and 4.1 percent for closed sales.
