Washington state’s share of a landmark $25 billion agreement reached between states and the nation’s biggest mortgage lenders will be about $648 million.
The Herald in Everett reports major mortgage providers — Bank of America (Washington state’s largest bank, ranked by market share), Wells Fargo & Co. , JP Morgan Chase & Co., Citigroup and Ally Financial — have agreed to provide money for loan modifications and other changes, direct relief to wronged homeowners and funding for housing programs.
